蘇州(同里)阿德科特學(xué)校是阿德科特在中國落地的第三所分校,學(xué)校坐落于千年歷史名城同里古鎮(zhèn)景區(qū)內(nèi),占地一百余畝,為原同里中學(xué)舊址。校址因1902年金松岑先生創(chuàng)辦的同川自治學(xué)社(前身為清代同川書院)而,近代中國文學(xué)家柳亞子、中國社會學(xué)奠基人費孝通均師從金松岑先生。校園內(nèi)草木蔥郁,文物保護單位、學(xué)生教育基地天放樓和紅樓靜然守望,訴說并見證著七千余年崧澤文化的厚重。學(xué)校嚴格按照英國學(xué)校的標準進行設(shè)計改建,配置有包括創(chuàng)新實驗室,氣膜體育館等諸多設(shè)施設(shè)備。
IB課程即國際文憑組織IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization),成立于1968年,IB是International Baccalaureate(國際文憑課程)的簡稱,最初是為外交官子女以及世界優(yōu)秀中學(xué)生而開發(fā)的課程,是公認的國際教育領(lǐng)跑者。全世界2100多所大學(xué)承認IB國際文憑,其中,牛津、劍橋、哈佛、耶魯?shù)仁澜绱髮W(xué)都歡迎IB畢業(yè)生報讀。

MYP(Middle Year Program)是國際文憑組織為11-16歲學(xué)生設(shè)計的中學(xué)項目,強調(diào)只是綜合、國際文化和國際交流,是大學(xué)預(yù)科項目的銜接。蘇州阿德科特,通過國際文憑組織IBO審核,正式成為MYP候選校。初高中一貫制的特色是我們打通知識體系,整體設(shè)計課程的重要保障,可以在程度上滿足學(xué)生的個性化發(fā)展需求,實施個體的化發(fā)展。
初中階段,用IB課程框架(理念、方法),事實中國國家課程(內(nèi)容、載體)。中國國家課程是我們課程體系的“內(nèi)容”與“載體”,是我們對中華文化的守望與傳承,回答了我們課程“教什么”問題。但傳承不能排外,而洋為中用,在“怎么教”上,我們則采用IB的框架,因為IB是世界公認的最先進的教育理念與方法。
課程優(yōu)勢:穿插母語、雙語和外語三種授課語言,編選國家課程、世界學(xué)習(xí)材料;文化價值融合、課程目標融合、教學(xué)內(nèi)容融合、教學(xué)方法融合、考察形式融合,更好地銜接國際高中課程。International Baccalaureate Curriculum (IB Curriculum), founded in 1968 by the International Baccalaureate Organization, was originally developed for the children of diplomats and the world's best middle school students, and has been recognized as the leading program in international education. More than 2,100 universities around the world recognize the IB certificate, with Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale and other top universities welcoming IB graduates.
Middle Year Program (MYP) is a secondary school program designed by the International Baccalaureate Organization for students aged 11-16, with an emphasis on knowledge integration, international culture and international exchange, which is the best link to pre-university programs. Adcote Suzhou, through IBO's evaluatuion, officially became an MYP candidate school.
In the middle school, the Chinese national curriculum (content, carrier) is implemented using the IB curriculum framework (concept, method). The Chinese national curriculum is the "content" and "carrier" of our curriculum system, which represents our guardianship and inheritance of Chinese culture, and answers the question of "what to teach" in our curriculum. However, inheritance cannot be exclusive, and thus as to "how to teach", we use the framework of IB, which is recognized as the most advanced educational concept and method in the world.
